I didn't try to write code first because it seemed pointless, in the same way that it would be pointless to write code to solve a problem already solved with a good module. Because the solution is at the intersection of Drupal, the Mailchimp module, and the Mailchimp api, there's a fair bit of experience needed. So (for me at least) it's not a trivial project. Hook_block_view is the easy part :) It's good to know that the expectation is that you should spend time to work out your own solution before asking for input. I honestly didn't realize that. | |
