Given that there is a large number of questions on Stack Overflow related to Drupal, could we pull some of the good ones over to Drupal Answers? Otherwise, you're going down that redundancy path, anyways.

Moderators on Stack Overflow do have the ability to migrate questions to any site; flag the question for moderation attention, and they will migrate it, if they think it is worth doing it.

Keep in mind that:

  • Answered questions with an accepted answer should be left on the site where they have been asked; this is especially true for old questions, which would not contribute much on Drupal Answers, in particular when the user who asked the question is no longer active on Stack Exchange sites
  • Moderators don't generally migrate the question if the migration is not asked from the user who asked the question
  • The migration is preferably done when the user who asked the question is also active in the site receiving the question, otherwise migrating the question would mean to make it abandoned
  • There is another site accepting this question is generally not the reason why the questions are migrated
  • Old questions are not normally migrated and now moderators cannot even migrate too old questions
  • The general rule is not to migrate questions that are on-topic in the site where the question has been asked; one of the reasons for doing so is that users with up-voted answers would lose their reputation, which is especially true when the users who answered do not have a user profile on Drupal Answers

IMO, it is preferable that users ask their own, new, question on Drupal Answers instead of migrating an old question from Stack Overflow, and close as duplicate a new question asked on Drupal Answers.
Supposing that a Stack Overflow moderator would accept to migrate a question basing on the flag raised on Stack Overflow, that would be an action taken by two people (the moderator and the person flagging the question to migrate it), for which the Drupal Answers community could have a different opinion. The effect of this would be a down-voted question which could also be closed (with the effect of reverting the migration).

If you have any reason to see the question migrated, and you didn't ask the question, explain in the flagging reason why you think it is better to migrate the question. If you convince the moderators, they could migrate the question.
